You jelly of this belly?

A friend of mine is 8 months pregnant, and wanted to know if I'd be willing to paint a trippy face on her belly. I was more than willing to! It's not everyday I get to paint on a pregnant lady's belly!
The baby kicked my brush now and then as I painted on her.

At this stage it kind of resembled an alien/ android kikaider hybrid.

I used non-toxic acrylic paint.

2012

So many amazing and challenging things have happened in my life in this year alone. It's been a while since I've updated this blog, so I'll post a few personal art pieces created throughout the year. I plan to get more involved in my personal art, and plan to update this blog more with sketches and paintings that  I've held off on that I hope to gain the courage to start on again.

A lot of blogs that I've followed on this site have inspired me, I hope these inspire you, and thank you for your support. I wish for the best for you that awesome things come your way in 2013 - whoever is reading this.

Take my Heart

This is a Valentine gift for a special someone. It's a teeny tiny painting on a teeny tiny easel.  I would have posted it yesterday, but I was busy spending the whole day with him. <3
I hope you had a great day, regardless if you had a Valentine or not.
On an unrelated note, here's a doodle with some cat-itude. I've been so busy, but I will be making some more art very soon.

Anx

Anxiety creeps and seeps into your bones. I owe art to some people; when you're stressed, doing a little vent art goes a long way.
Lately I've been obsessing over the movie, "Artificial Intelligence." If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it, it makes you question your humanity and what the future of technology may bring us.
I just can't get over the psychological/sci-fi/fairy tale vibe from this movie! It has to be one of the most underrated movies.
This is a doodle of one of the characters, Gigolo Joe.

"They ask for me by name. Gigolo Joe, what do you know?"
Here's a lovely music video remix made out of sounds from the movie by the talented, "Pogo."
